Arbitrary ticket deletion via missing nonce validation
Published Mar 28, 2025 · Updated Mar 28, 2025
Cross-site request forgery in Vollstart Event Tickets with Ticket Scanner before 2.5.4 allows remote attackers to delete arbitrary tickets. The executeJSON function accepts the sasoEventtickets_executeAdminSettings action with an emptyTableCodes operation but fails to validate its nonce before emptying stored ticket codes. Exploitation requires a logged-in administrator to open attacker-controlled HTML, and the forged request deletes ticket records rather than exposing their contents.
