Unauthenticated code execution via mangle stack overflow
Published Mar 19, 2025 · Updated Mar 19, 2025
Stack-based buffer overflow in Progress LoadMaster 7.2.40.0 through 7.2.61.0 allows remote attackers to execute code via a crafted HTTP request. The mangle executable copies attacker-controlled data into a fixed-length stack buffer without first validating its length. No authentication or user interaction is required, and successful exploitation executes code in the context of the bal user.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
