CVE-2025-1752Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Python process crash via unenforced crawl depth

Published May 10, 2025 · Updated Oct 15, 2025

Uncontrolled recursion in LlamaIndex before 0.3.6 allows remote attackers to crash the Python process through a crafted crawl target. KnowledgeBaseWebReader.get_article_urls recursively follows discovered links without incrementing or checking the documented max_depth value. Exploitation requires a consuming application to pass an attacker-controlled knowledge-base URL into the reader, and exhaustion of Python's recursion limit interrupts that process.
