Script execution via unescaped page_name reflection
Published Feb 27, 2025 · Updated Mar 24, 2025
Cross-site scripting in PiHome 2.0 allows remote attackers to execute script in an authenticated user's browser through home.php. The page_name query value is concatenated without encoding into the value attribute of a hidden page_link input, allowing a quote to terminate the attribute and inject markup. A victim must be logged in and follow a crafted URL; successful execution is confined to that browser session and can expose cookies lacking protective flags.
