CVE-2025-1696

Proxy credential disclosure via cleartext application logging

Published Mar 6, 2025 · Updated Mar 6, 2025

Sensitive-data logging in Docker Desktop before 4.39.0 allows local users to read proxy authentication credentials from application logs. The HTTP GET proxy path writes the configured proxy string, including embedded authentication data, to log files in clear text. Exploitation requires local read access to the affected user's logs, and the exposed credentials enable unauthorized proxy access.
