CVE-2025-1686Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Host file disclosure via literal-template includes

Published Feb 27, 2025 · Updated Apr 19, 2026

Local file inclusion in Pebble before 4.1.0 allows remote authenticated users to read host files through crafted templates. When getLiteralTemplate treats template content as PebbleTemplateImpl.name, resolveRelativePath resolves an include path against the filesystem root instead of a sandboxed template base. Exploitation requires high privileges to supply a template that reaches the include tag, and disclosed output is limited to files readable by the host process.
