CVE-2025-1683

Local arbitrary file deletion via symbolic links

Published Mar 12, 2025 · Updated Jun 18, 2025

Improper link resolution in the Nomad module of 1E Client before 25.3 allows local users to delete arbitrary Windows files. The module accesses a path without safely resolving symbolic links first, so a crafted link redirects its privileged file deletion to an attacker-chosen target. Local unprivileged access and an enabled Nomad module are required; successful exploitation can remove files accessible to the service account.
