Code execution via out-of-bounds MODEL parsing
Published Mar 13, 2025 · Updated Feb 26, 2026
Out-of-bounds read in Autodesk AutoCAD and affected toolsets 2022 through 2025 allows local users to execute code via a crafted MODEL file. The MODEL parser reads beyond an input buffer while processing malformed file data; Autodesk has not disclosed the responsible component or parsing operation. Exploitation requires a user to open the file and can crash the process, expose sensitive data, or run code with that process's privileges.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
