Contributor-level stored XSS via unescaped widget attributes
Published Feb 28, 2025 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Stored XSS in Exclusive Addons for Elementor 2.7.6 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to inject scripts through widget attributes. The Animated Text and Image Comparison widgets accept user-supplied attributes without sufficient input sanitization or output escaping, so saved script markup reaches rendered pages. Contributor-level access or higher is required to create the malicious page, and later page views execute the script in visitors' browsers.
