CVE-2025-15667Public exploit

Process crash via MP4 NALU double free

Published Jul 6, 2026 · Updated Jul 6, 2026

Double free in the MP4Box component of GPAC 2.5-DEV allows local users to crash the process by concatenating a crafted MP4 file. On the error path in gf_isom_nalu_sample_rewrite, nalu_out_bs reaches later teardown without the buffer-detaching call, so gf_bs_del frees an already freed buffer. Local access to invoke MP4Box -cat with attacker-controlled input is required; the demonstrated consequence is an abort, with no reported data disclosure or code execution.
