Stored XSS via missing nonce validation
Published Apr 7, 2026 · Updated Apr 7, 2026
Stored XSS in AYS Pro Popup Box before 5.5.0 allows remote attackers to inject JavaScript through a forged popup-creation request. The add_or_edit_popupbox() function saves attacker-controlled popup_description content after failing to validate the request nonce. Exploitation requires an authenticated administrator to visit an attacker-controlled page; the stored script then executes in the admin panel and site frontend.
