API key disclosure via unauthenticated AJAX response
Published May 19, 2026 · Updated May 19, 2026
Information disclosure in Fortis for WooCommerce before 1.3.1 allows remote attackers to obtain Fortis API credentials via an AJAX request. The public fortis_ajax_request action returns a JSON fortis object containing production_user_id and production_user_api_key without authentication. Any remote visitor who can place a product in the cart can retrieve the credentials and use the Fortis API to read past orders and customer PII.
