Unauthenticated file read via URL path traversal
Published Feb 12, 2026 · Updated Feb 12, 2026
Path traversal in Valmet DNA Engineering Web Tools C2022 and earlier allows remote attackers to read arbitrary server files. The web server accepts a manipulated URL and resolves its path outside the intended document boundary; Valmet has not disclosed the affected handler or parameter. No authentication or user interaction is required, but the attacker must be able to reach the web server; impact is limited to file disclosure.
