Cryptographic weakness in TP-Link Omada device adoption allows attackers to recover site credentials from intercepted adoption traffic. The adoption exchange transmits site-management credentials through a weak unsalted one-way hash that permits offline recovery after capture. Exploitation requires network proximity and an active adoption event; recovered credentials grant unauthorized access to managed devices or controller-managed environments.
