Unauthenticated order failure via nonce mismatch handling
Published Jan 14, 2026 · Updated Jan 14, 2026
Incorrect authorization in Float Payment Gateway 1.1.9 and earlier allows remote attackers to mark any WooCommerce order as failed. In verifyFloatResponse(), mismatched nonce values enter an error branch that trusts a submitted order_id and calls WC_Order::update_status('failed') without authorization. No account or valid nonce is required; a crafted request to the public AJAX action can disrupt checkout processing for an existing order without changing its contents.
