Unauthenticated license data modification via unchecked AJAX handler
Published Feb 4, 2026 · Updated Feb 4, 2026
Missing authorization in Magic Import Document Extractor 1.0.5 and earlier allows remote attackers to alter license status and credit balance. The WordPress AJAX ajax_sync_usage() handler accepts unauthenticated requests and updates the plugin's license and usage state without checking an administrative capability. No account or user interaction is required; the bounded impact is unauthorized modification of licensing and remaining-credit data.
