XPath injection in affected WatchGuard Fireware OS releases allows remote attackers to read sensitive Firebox configuration data. WatchGuard identifies Web CGI as the affected locus but has not disclosed the request field or XPath construction that fails to neutralize input. Exploitation requires at least one configured authentication hotspot and network access to an exposed authentication or management web interface.
