Authenticated payment disruption via unprotected AJAX resets
Published Feb 11, 2026 · Updated Feb 11, 2026
Missing authorization in OpenPix for WooCommerce 2.13.3 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to reset payment settings via AJAX. The one-click AJAX handlers reset gateway options without checking a nonce or the manage_woocommerce capability. Subscriber-level access is sufficient to clear API credentials and webhook status, interrupting OpenPix payment processing until the settings are restored.
