CVE-2025-15398Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Account takeover via brute-forced password-reset tokens

Published Dec 31, 2025 · Updated Dec 31, 2025

Weak password recovery in Uasoft Badaso 2.9.0 through 2.9.7 allows remote attackers to take over accounts via reset-token guessing. BadasoAuthController.php's forgetPassword() generates six-digit tokens with PHP rand(), while resetPassword() omits token expiry and rate limits. Network access and a known victim email address are required; repeated guesses can set a new password for that account without prior authentication.
