CVE-2025-1539Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Authenticated code execution via stack buffer overflow

Published Feb 21, 2025 · Updated Feb 21, 2025

Stack-based buffer overflow in D-Link DAP-1320 firmware 1.00 allows remote authenticated users to execute code via a crafted request. The replace_special_char function in /storagein.pd-XXXXXX writes attacker-controlled data beyond a stack buffer's bounds. Low-privileged network access is required; successful exploitation grants code execution on the extender or crashes its service.
