Unauthenticated script execution via preview HTML rendering
Published Jan 20, 2026 · Updated Jan 20, 2026
DOM-based XSS in WPDeveloper NotificationX 3.2.0 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute script via a crafted nx-preview POST. The public preview path decodes base64-encoded JSON and passes fields such as sliding_content titles to dangerouslySetInnerHTML without sanitization. No account is required, but a victim must visit a malicious page that submits the form; executed script receives the vulnerable site's browser origin.
