CVE-2025-1538Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Authenticated code execution via set_ws_action heap overflow

Published Feb 21, 2025 · Updated Feb 21, 2025

Heap-based buffer overflow in /dws/api/ on D-Link DAP-1320 1.00 allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary code. The set_ws_action function mishandles attacker-controlled request data and writes beyond a heap allocation; public reporting does not identify the triggering parameter. Access to the device's authenticated web interface is required, and successful exploitation can crash the service or execute code in the firmware context.
