CVE-2025-15370Public exploitNetwork attack vector

MFA disabling via user-controlled account key

Published Jan 16, 2026 · Updated Jan 16, 2026

Authorization bypass in Shield Security 21.0.9 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to disable Google Authenticator for any user. The MfaGoogleAuthToggle handler accepts active_wp_user as the target account while requiring only the read capability, without binding the target to the caller or requiring user-management authority. Subscriber-level access is sufficient; the action removes a targeted account's second factor but does not itself disclose credentials or grant account access.
