Code execution via unvalidated CHX deserialization
Published Jan 23, 2026 · Updated Jan 23, 2026
CHX file deserialization in Anritsu VectorStar 2024.11.1 allows remote attackers to execute code after a malicious file is opened. The CHX parser deserializes user-supplied data without sufficient validation, allowing objects in a crafted file to execute code in the current process. Exploitation requires the operator to open the file or visit a malicious page; no network-only trigger or privilege escalation is reported.
