CVE-2025-15315

Local privilege escalation via plugin argument injection

Published Feb 9, 2026 · Updated Feb 9, 2026

Argument injection in Tanium Module Server allows local users to elevate privileges by invoking specific plugins on the host. The affected plugin invocation does not neutralize argument delimiters, allowing attacker-controlled input to alter command arguments; Tanium has not disclosed the specific plugin, command, or code path. Low-privileged appliance access is required, and successful exploitation grants higher local privileges over the Module Server.
