Local authenticated code execution
Published Feb 5, 2026 · Updated Feb 5, 2026
Unauthorized code execution in affected Tanium Appliance 1.8.3, 1.8.4, and 1.8.5 builds allows local users to run code. Tanium maps the flaw to CWE-150 but does not disclose the affected component, untrusted input, or sequence that is improperly neutralized. Exploitation requires an authenticated TanOS session with the tanuser role; no unauthenticated or network-only path is reported.
