Code execution via SFD array overrun
Published Dec 31, 2025 · Updated Dec 31, 2025
Improper array-index validation in FontForge allows remote attackers to execute code through a crafted SFD file. The SFD parser uses file-supplied array indexes without adequate bounds validation, permitting a write beyond an allocated array. Opening the file or visiting a page that supplies it is required, and successful exploitation runs code with the current user's privileges.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
