CVE-2025-15256Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Unauthenticated command execution via rootAPmac injection

Published Dec 30, 2025 · Updated Dec 30, 2025

Command injection in the Edimax BR-6208AC web interface in firmware 1.02 and 1.03 allows remote attackers to execute system commands. The formStaDrvSetup handler at /goform/formStaDrvSetup incorporates the untrusted rootAPmac value into system-command processing without neutralizing command syntax. No authentication or user interaction is required; successful exploitation runs attacker-selected commands with effects bounded by the router process's privileges.
