Authenticated virtual-asset inflation via coupon redemption race
Published Dec 30, 2025 · Updated Dec 30, 2025
Race condition in the Coupon Handler of PHPEMS 11.0 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to credit multiple accounts with one coupon. The handler processes concurrent recharge requests without row locking or real-time reuse validation, crediting every account while recording one redemption. Exploitation requires multiple regular accounts and a valid coupon code, and the demonstrated consequence is unauthorized virtual-asset accumulation.
