Router reboot via unchecked LISTLEN loop

Published Dec 30, 2025 · Updated Dec 30, 2025

Denial of service in Tenda CH22 Firmware 1.0.0.0 and 1.0.0.1 allows remote attackers to reboot the router via a crafted HTTP request. The unauthenticated fromDhcpListClient handler converts LISTLEN with atoi and uses the unchecked value as the upper bound for a loop that repeatedly formats strings, retrieves parameters, and writes NVRAM. A single oversized LISTLEN value drives CPU usage to 100 percent, makes httpd unresponsive, and typically causes the watchdog to reboot the device.
