Authenticated data disclosure via unchecked subdomain requests
Published Apr 23, 2025 · Updated Apr 23, 2025
SSRF in PostHog database_schema at commit b8817c14065c23159dcf52849f0bdcd12516c43e allows remote authenticated users to read sensitive data. The method passes attacker-controlled Zendesk or Vitally subdomain values to credential-validation helpers without first restricting each value to a hostname label. A remote authenticated user can direct service-account requests toward attacker-selected resources, exposing sensitive information and permitting limited modification in the service context.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
