Admin-level code execution via spoofed upload type
Published Dec 29, 2025 · Updated Dec 29, 2025
Unrestricted file upload in Code Projects Content Management System and NEWS-BUZZ 1.0 allows remote authenticated users to execute server code. The admin/editposts.php handler trusts the image part's client-controlled Content-Type, allowing a PHP-suffixed payload to enter the web-accessible allpostpics directory. Admin-level access is required under the published CVSS assessments; executing the uploaded script grants commands under the web server account.
