Arbitrary file deletion via unvalidated backup paths
Published Dec 29, 2025 · Updated Dec 29, 2025
Path traversal in GreenCMS 2.0 through 2.3 allows remote authenticated users to delete server files through crafted deletion requests. The delSqlFiles and delZipFiles methods append sqlFiles or zipFiles values to backup-directory constants and pass the resulting paths to File::delFile without canonicalization or containment checks. High-privilege access to the administrative endpoints is required, and deletion is limited to files writable by the web-service account.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
