Stored cross-site scripting via unescaped shortcode attributes
Published Feb 26, 2025 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Stored cross-site scripting in Sina Extension for Elementor 3.6.0 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to inject web scripts. Fancy Text, Countdown, and Login Form shortcode attributes are insufficiently sanitized and escaped before their values are emitted into page output. Contributor-level access is sufficient, and the injected script runs in a visitor's browser whenever the crafted page is opened.
