Authenticated root command execution via unfiltered safe_dir
Published Dec 28, 2025 · Updated Dec 28, 2025
Command injection in ZSPACE Z4Pro+ 1.0.0440024 allows remote authenticated users to execute commands through a crafted POST request. The zfilev2_api_SafeStatus handler passes safe_dir to zfilev2_api_isSafeMounted, which appends it to a shell command without filtering metacharacters. Exploitation requires a low-privileged account, a maliciously named directory incorporated into a snapshot, and a matching gocryptfs.conf path; successful commands run as root.
