Unauthenticated code execution via unrestricted file upload
Published Dec 27, 2025 · Updated Dec 27, 2025
Unrestricted file upload in JackQ XCMS allows remote attackers to execute code through the public Plupload example endpoint. Public/javascripts/admin/plupload-2.1.2/examples/upload.php appends the untrusted name parameter to $filePath and writes the uploaded content without validating its type, extension, or destination. No authentication is required; a PHP web shell placed under the web root executes when requested over HTTP.
