CVE-2025-15105Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Account takeover via default JWT signing secret

Published Dec 27, 2025 · Updated Dec 27, 2025

Authentication bypass in Maxun 0.0.28 and earlier allows remote attackers to access other accounts with forged JWT cookies. The ENVEXAMPLE file supplies a fixed JWT_SECRET, while auth.ts accepts the signed user ID claim when serving the API-key endpoint. Deployments retaining that default secret allow attackers to forge tokens, enumerate numeric user IDs, and read other users’ API keys.
