Improper authentication in Sim 0.5.0 through 0.5.27 allows remote attackers to invoke protected cron endpoints without valid credentials. The verifyCronAuth function constructs the expected bearer token from an unset CRON_SECRET, so the literal header Bearer undefined passes its equality check. The bypass requires a self-hosted deployment with CRON_SECRET unset and grants access to cron actions exposed by affected endpoints; published evidence does not bound the resulting workflow or data impact.
