Administrator access via unauthenticated session creation
Published Dec 26, 2025 · Updated Dec 26, 2025
Authentication bypass in Alteryx Server through 2025.1 allows remote attackers to create authenticated sessions without credentials. The /gallery/api/auth/sessions/ endpoint accepts a windows scheme with empty parameters and returns a session ID and user details without validating credentials. Only Built-In and SAML authentication are affected; the returned session can grant Administrator-level application access.
