Unauthenticated code execution via unquoted shell arguments
Published Jan 23, 2026 · Updated Jan 23, 2026
OS command injection in NightTrek Ollama MCP Server allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code without authentication. The create, show, pull, push, copy, and remove handlers interpolate MCP tool arguments into shell command strings passed to promisified child_process.exec without quoting or validation. Any remote client able to invoke these MCP tools can run commands with the service account's privileges.
