Settings modification via missing nonce validation
Published Feb 28, 2025 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Cross-site request forgery in Roxnor Wp Social Login and Register Social Counter 3.1.0 and earlier allows remote attackers to alter provider settings. The counter_access_key_setup() function accepts state-changing administrative requests without correctly validating a WordPress nonce. Exploitation requires an authenticated site administrator to follow an attacker-controlled link, after which the forged request changes social login provider configuration.
