Stored XSS via unescaped fingerprint log entry
Published Jan 9, 2026 · Updated Jan 9, 2026
Stored XSS in VeronaLabs SlimStat Analytics 5.3.3 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute scripts through the fh parameter. The plugin stores an unsanitized fingerprint value from a tracking request and renders it without output escaping in the Real-time Access Log. No authentication is required to plant the payload, but execution requires an administrator to view the affected report, exposing that browser session to attacker-controlled actions.
