Authenticated malicious file upload via unchecked file type
Published Dec 24, 2025 · Updated Dec 24, 2025
Unrestricted file upload in Code Projects Student File Management System 1.0 allows remote authenticated users to upload executable PHP files. The save_file.php handler accepts a multipart file without enforcing file-type or filename restrictions, so a crafted PHP payload is stored in the upload area. When the web server executes PHP in that location, the uploaded payload enables server-side code execution.
