Kernel information disclosure or crash via crafted IOCTL
Published Mar 12, 2026 · Updated Mar 12, 2026
Out-of-bounds read in the ASUS Business System Control Interface driver before 0.5.14.0 allows local users to expose kernel data or crash Windows. The driver reads beyond a buffer boundary while processing a specially crafted IOCTL request, but ASUS has not identified the responsible handler. Unprivileged local access is required; exploitation discloses kernel information or causes a system crash without reported code execution.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
