Stored XSS via unsanitized form responses
Published Aug 6, 2026 · Updated Aug 6, 2026
Stored XSS in FormGent 1.9.2 and earlier allows remote attackers to inject scripts through unauthenticated WordPress form submissions. The submission pipeline stores field values without sufficient sanitization, and response output renders them without context-appropriate escaping. A public FormGent form must accept the payload, and the script runs when a user opens the affected output.
