CVE-2025-14969Network attack vector

Authenticated service interruption via leaked database connections

Published Jan 26, 2026 · Updated Feb 5, 2026

Resource exhaustion in Hibernate Reactive before 4.2.1 allows remote authenticated users to exhaust connections by aborting database HTTP requests. SqlClientConnection.close() rejects a live transaction without rolling it back, leaving the SQL connection pending instead of returning it to the pool. An authenticated HTTP endpoint must expose database operations; repeated disconnects can exhaust the pool and prevent further queries.
