CVE-2025-1496Network attack vector

Account compromise via unrestricted login attempts

Published Mar 20, 2025 · Updated Jun 6, 2026

Improper authentication in BG-TEK Coslat Hotspot before 6.26.0.R.20250227 allows remote attackers to brute-force portal accounts. The captive portal login accepts repeated username and password attempts without IP- or account-based rate limiting. No authentication is required to submit login attempts; successful guessing exposes only the access granted to the compromised account.
