Application crash via negative vertex-buffer index
Published Dec 19, 2025 · Updated Dec 19, 2025
Heap-based buffer overflow in sokol_gfx.h allows local users to crash applications that embed affected floooh sokol code. _sg_pipeline_common_init checks buffer_index only against the upper limit, so a negative index reaches vertex_buffer_layout_active and writes before the allocated array. Reachability requires an embedding application to pass a negative vertex-buffer index through sg_make_pipeline; the demonstrated consequence is an AddressSanitizer-detected process abort.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
