CVE-2025-14955Public exploitNetwork attack vector

SGW-U crash via zero-length F-TEID

Published Dec 19, 2025 · Updated Dec 19, 2025

Improper initialization in Open5GS 2.7.0 through 2.7.5 allows remote attackers to crash SGW-U via a malformed PFCP request. ogs_pfcp_handle_create_pdr copies a zero-length F-TEID, leaves both address-family flags unset, and then aborts on an assertion requiring IPv4 or IPv6. Reachability requires PFCP control-plane access and a crafted Session Establishment Request; the bounded consequence is termination of the SGW-U daemon.
