CVE-2025-14928

Arbitrary code execution via unchecked configuration evaluation

Published Dec 23, 2025 · Updated Dec 23, 2025

Code injection in Hugging Face Transformers 4.57.0 allows attackers to execute Python code by converting a malicious HuBERT checkpoint. The HuBERT convert_config function passes the checkpoint-supplied extractor_conv_feature_layers string directly to Python eval(). Execution requires a local user or automated pipeline to invoke the DistilHuBERT conversion utility on the crafted checkpoint, and the payload runs with that process's privileges.
